We will be covering the following themes:
Nutrition in recovery
One of our mantras here at Finally Free Academy is ‘it’s not about the fucking food’ as we love to focus on the root cause healing that truly enables full recovery. BUT nutrition does play a part and it can be a very confusing part of recovery.
In this module we look at how we can nourish our bodies in a way that is supportive both of our health and recovery.
Root cause healing
This is our favourite part because slowly and gently we are going to be teaching you how to heal your disordered relationship with food from the inside out.
Ultimately things like disordered eating, low body confidence and anxiety are all unhealthy coping tools that we have because they help us in some way. By being able to recognise that these behaviours, thoughts, feelings are symptoms we can add more supportive tools and this is where things get to fall into place with such ease.
Nervous system regulation and trauma
Did you know that the vast majority of people living with eating disorders long term either have PTSD (caused most often by a singular trauma) or complex PTSD (caused most often by dysfunctional family/parent-child dynamics). Trauma affects how our brain is wired and can make it very difficult to regulate our own nervous systems leaving us experiencing things like chronic anxiety, people pleasing, burn out and so much more.
Regardless of whether you have cPTSD or PTSD it is so important that we learn how to regulate our nervous systems so that we can feel safe and in control without relying on things like calorie counting, anxiety and food rules to do that for us.
Identity and embodying your true self
I imagine you have asked yourself ‘who the fuck will I be without this?’ Likely you have lived with a shitty relationship with food for as long as you can remember and have no clue what would be left. You probably can’t even see a day where you look in the mirror and don’t pick apart what you see.
This is why the identity work is so important, because if we don’t know how to build our own sense of self and identity in recovery we will simply run back to what we know. But rather than building a new you, unless you want to, we will help you peal back the layers of programming to reveal the you that has been there all along.
Relapse prevention
Relapse prevention is something that is so often missed but is so crucial to making a full recovery. Rather than creating a plan that you print out and never look at again, we will be teaching you the tricks to a long lasting recovery which includes dealing with hiccups and set backs. They may feel really inconvenient and annoying but actually each wobble gives us insight as to what is missing and you need to be doing more of to not only stay in recovery but to stay there once and for all.
Integration weeks
Having a tonne of information is great, understanding why things haven’t worked for us before is so healing, but unless you are able to put these things into practice then you won’t see the transformation that you so deserve. So in these weeks we don’t teach you any more information but you will have the full support of your recovery coach so you can really focus on integrating what you have learned in your own life.
What people have said about the previous round of the Break Free Bootcamp…
I’d highly recommend this for anyone in the stage of recovery where you’re feeling a little stagnant in your progress or have all the tools but need to relight the fire needed to ensure thoughts and feelings aren’t the ED taking over. We all deserve freedom and Chloe ensures there are themed weeks to really get you thinking and setting challenges to take part in/activities to complete should you feel it fits for you. All resources are provided and the Telegram group is open all the time for anyone to share their thoughts at anytime. If they need some support, if they are celebrating a win, we were all there for them and I felt the girls were there for me too. It really, really encouraged me to put recovery back at the forefront of my mind.
It’s been a pleasure to be a part of the first bootcamp and I would do it again all over/ recommend it to anyone who’s struggling with an ED/ED recovery.
This boot camp has taught me a lot about how to view myself in a better way and not see myself as a victim or my body as an ornament. I have learnt ways to feel proud of who I am and what my body does for me. The tools and work we have done makes me stop and think about the way I talk sometimes about myself and with support from everyone in this group I feel so much better about how to manage my eating disorder in a positive way rather then letting it control me.
The [Break Free Bootcamp] has brought out so much more than I expected it to, the women in this group are the most lovely, supportive and courageous people ever. I am in awe of them when they give themselves fully to the trainings and I feel very honoured to be a part of the healing in this group! Chloe is as fantastic as ever, the trainings and support is second to none…I can’t fault anything she says or does ♥️xx
Chloe’s passion and commitment to helping others find freedom and healing in their lives is so evident from her dedication, responsiveness and compassion. She is always supportive without any judgement and ready to offer a toolbox of options to overcome and empower each person from where they are in their journey. So helpful to reconnect to our true-self – see our unique gifts and realise our greatest potential is always within reach.
Chloe is amazing and always the voice of reason even if it’s tough love it’s always from a place of wanting us all to live our best life and Chloe is showing everyone that this can be achieved despite what we’ve been through! I can’t thank her enough!

FAQs
- I have had help before? Is this the right programme for me?
Most of the people I have worked with have tried everything from inpatient treatment to years of counselling. I’m confident that we can help anyone with their recovery if they want it! However, if you want to check that this is the right programme for you please do reach out and contact me on [email protected] or https://www.instagram.com/finallyfree_academy/ and we can check if this programme is right for your circumstances.
- I am nervous about group coaching, will this be right for me?
We understand that group coaching can be a new and daunting experience. This is why we don’t do group calls and stick to using a group chat and you can choose how involved you want to be with that. Some people choose to not message in the chat and just keep up with the content, some dive right in and share their experiences and ask questions. Either way you will have a separate chat with your recovery coach who can answer your questions and support you through the content and process.
- Will I get 1:1 support?
Whilst this is a group programme we know the value of having 1:1 support, this is why you still get acess to a recovery coach to support you fully throughout this process through message support.
- How long is the programme?
The Bootcamp is an 12-week programme.
